Information Security Analyst

We are hiring an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team in Washington. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our company's computer systems and networks. This includes conducting regular security audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing solutions to mitigate potential risks. You will also be responsible for monitoring network activity, responding to security incidents, and providing training and support to employees on security best practices.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of information security principles and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM will be given preference.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop solutions to mitigate potential risks.
- Monitor network activity for any suspicious behavior or unauthorized access.
- Respond to security incidents by conducting forensics investigations and implementing remediation measures.
- Collaborate with other teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Provide training and support to employees on security best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Information Security Analyst.
- Strong understanding of information security principles.
- Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk management.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, etc.
- Familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus.
