Land Surveyor Assistant

The Land Surveyor Assistant will work closely with our team of experienced surveyors to assist in the collection and analysis of data for various land surveying projects in Svalbard. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the field to gain valuable hands-on experience and training.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting field surveys using various equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners
- Collect and compile data from surveys into digital formats
- Perform basic calculations and analysis of survey data
- Support the survey team in setting up and maintaining control points
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on site
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and accurate data collection
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to complete projects on time

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Geomatics, Surveying, or related field preferred
- Prior experience or coursework in land surveying is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of surveying equipment and software is an asset
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard.
