Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain company databases, ensuring security and integrity
- Optimize database performance through monitoring, tuning, and indexing
- Troubleshoot any database-related issues that may arise
- Perform data migrations between databases or servers
- Develop database backup/recovery processes
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient database structures for new applications
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems (Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience with data backup/recovery procedures
- Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills
