Merchandiser for Retail Store in Nakuru, Kenya

As a Merchandiser for our retail store in Nakuru, Kenya, you will be responsible for ensuring that the store is always stocked with the latest products and displays are visually appealing. You will work closely with the buying team to track inventory levels and make recommendations on product placement and promotions. This is a contract position that requires previous experience in merchandising and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock movement and making recommendations for restocking
- Create visually appealing displays to attract customers' attention
- Collaborate with buyers to ensure product availability and effective promotions
- Monitor sales performance of products and adjust displays accordingly
- Keep track of competitor's products and prices to inform buying decisions
- Ensure all products are accurately priced and have proper signage
- Work with sales associates to ensure they are knowledgeable about products on display

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Merchandiser, preferably in a retail environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of current market trends and competitor analysis
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
