Senior Accountant


We are a leading financial services company based in Nairobi, seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This position is ideal for an Indian national with excellent English speaking skills and at least 5 years of experience in accounting.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial operations. This includes preparing and analyzing financial reports, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical skills. Experience with biometric passport systems is preferred but not required. Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes
- Manage payroll activities and tax filings
- Conduct regular audits to identify errors or discrepancies
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical skills
- Familiarity with biometric passport systems (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Indian national preferred
