Office Assistant
An office assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the office. They handle a variety of tasks, including answering phone calls, organizing and maintaining files, managing supplies, and assisting with general office duties. The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. This job is perfect for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and redirecting them when necessary
- Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail
- Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files
- Managing office supplies inventory
- Assisting with data entry tasks
- Performing basic bookkeeping duties
- Maintaining a clean and organized office environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an office assistant or in a similar role preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Salary: $1600 per month
Location: Lom, Kenya (accommodation provided)
