Mason - Construction Worker
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our construction team in Acre. As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures such as walls, floors, and other surfaces using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. Your main duties will include mixing mortar, laying bricks or blocks according to the plans and specifications of the project, and ensuring that the structure is level and plumb.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Mason in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Good communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members
Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning them, setting up scaffolding or ladders, and laying out tools and materials
- Mix mortar according to specific ratios based on project needs
- Lay bricks or blocks in a specific pattern using mortar as adhesive
- Use tools such as trowels, levels, hammers, saws, and chisels to shape or cut bricks or blocks
- Ensure that structures are levelled correctly using plumb lines or spirit levels
- Make necessary adjustments as needed to maintain structural integrity
- Repair any damaged structures by replacing or fixing broken bricks or blocks
- Follow all safety protocols on construction sites
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month for this position. As this is a contract job with accommodation provided, we are also open to applicants who may be seeking opportunities as freshers.
