Executive Chef - East African Cuisine
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Jerusalem, specializing in East African cuisine. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, menu planning and development, and ensuring high quality and authentic dishes are consistently served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop innovative menus featuring traditional and modern East African dishes
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent execution of menu items
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategies
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of East African cuisine with ability to blend traditional recipes with modern techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of food cost control methods
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Salary: $1600 per month
