Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef in our busy restaurant in Moscow, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain our high standards, while also contributing your own creativity and expertise to our menu.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including organizing work schedules and delegating tasks
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Participate in menu planning and development, as well as creating daily specials
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes or personal creativity
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- A passion for food and strong knowledge of different cuisines
- Ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Russian is a plus)
