Job Title: Head Baker


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Baker to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, from creating new recipes to managing inventory and ensuring quality control. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new recipes for baked goods, taking into consideration customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation of the bakery
- Oversee the production of all baked goods, ensuring they are made according to high-quality standards
- Train and supervise bakery staff, including bakers, pastry chefs, and assistants
- Monitor baking equipment for proper functioning and coordinate repairs or maintenance when needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Develop pricing strategies for baked goods that ensure profitability while remaining competitive in the market
- Keep track of sales trends and adjust production accordingly to minimize waste

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role in a commercial bakery setting
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to create new recipes that meet customer demands while also maintaining cost-effectiveness
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Biometric passport required
- Preference given to candidates with experience working in Portugal or familiarity with Portuguese baking traditions

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $900 per month. Compensation may be negotiable based on experience.
