Cashier for Busy Retail Store in Bungoma


We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at a busy retail store in Bungoma. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of sales.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Scan items and process payments accurately using POS system
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy
- Resolve customer complaints and escalate to management when necessary
- Keep track of inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures as required
- Follow all company policies and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service preferred but not required
- Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills in English (Swahili is an asset)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
