Blast Furnace Operator in Eldoret, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace, ensuring the smooth and efficient production of iron. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the blast furnace according to standard operating procedures
- Monitor furnace temperature, pressure, and gas flow to ensure proper functioning
- Charge raw materials into the furnace and adjust feed rates as needed
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments as necessary
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or certification in related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Blast Furnace Operator or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of blast furnace operations and processes
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot and potentially hazardous environment

Salary:
As an experienced Blast Furnace Operator, you can expect to earn a competitive salary of $1700 per month. Accommodation may also be provided for non-local candidates.
