Crane Operator
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Crane Operator to join our team in Salalah. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes according to safety regulations and procedures
- Inspect crane equipment before use to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Use hand signals or radio communication to coordinate with ground crew during lifting operations
- Follow load charts and calculate load weights to determine safe lifting capacities
- Secure loads properly using rigging techniques such as slings, chains, or cables
- Maintain accurate records of daily crane activities including lifts completed, maintenance performed, and any incidents or issues encountered
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid crane operator certification from a recognized training program
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and blueprints
- Strong communication skills for effectively coordinating with ground crew during lifts
- Physically fit with the ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule including weekends and overtime when necessary
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Salalah (for foreigners)
