Auto Body Repair Technician
As an Auto Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. You will use your expertise in auto body repair techniques and tools to assess damage, remove dents, replace damaged parts, and apply paint and finishes to complete repairs. Additionally, you will work with a team of professionals to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of repairs.
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Auto Body Repair or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in auto body repair techniques and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed
- Team player with good communication skills
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Inspect damaged vehicles by utilizing tools such as measuring devices, diagnostic equipment, and visual assessment.
- Use appropriate techniques to repair dents, scratches, and other damage on vehicle surfaces.
- Replace damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, doors, etc.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking.
- Apply paint or other finishes using appropriate techniques.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting completed repairs for accuracy.
- Communicate with team members regarding progress of repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Salary: Starting salary of $1300 per month with potential for growth based on performance.
Location: This position is located in Funchal and visa sponsorship is available for those who require it.
