Information Technology Manager

As an Information Technology Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT department and ensuring that all technology systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your main duties will include managing a team of IT professionals, creating and implementing IT policies and procedures, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology. You will also be responsible for ensuring data security and backup protocols are in place, maintaining hardware and software systems, and providing technical support to employees.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of information technology principles and best practices. You should also possess excellent leadership skills to effectively manage a team and drive projects forward. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in an IT management role.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the IT department and manage a team of IT professionals
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and make recommendations for improvements
- Ensure data security measures are in place to protect company data
- Maintain hardware and software systems to ensure optimal functionality
- Provide technical support to employees as needed
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and other IT services
- Develop training programs for employees on new technology systems
- Create budgets for IT expenses and ensure they are within allocated funds

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in an IT management role
- Strong knowledge of information technology principles
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Budgeting experience preferred
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-tech employees

Location: This position is located in Svalbard but we welcome applicants from all nationalities.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month.
Visa Sponsorship: We are able to provide visa sponsorship for qualified applicants.
