Indian Executive Chef - Los Angeles
Our upscale restaurant in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating authentic and innovative Indian dishes, as well as strong leadership skills to oversee our kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menu items that reflect the latest Indian culinary trends
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to high-quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant setting, with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work full-time hours without accommodation
