Radio Technician

A reputable radio station in Hawalli is seeking an experienced Radio Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radio technology and a proven track record of maintaining and repairing various types of radio equipment. We are specifically looking for someone with experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, as well as programming and configuring radio systems. The job will involve working closely with our broadcasting team to ensure smooth operation of all radio equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and updates. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary of 900$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all radio equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions
- Program and configure new or existing radio systems
- Collaborate with the broadcasting team to ensure smooth operation of all equipment
- Keep up-to-date records of maintenance and repair work
- Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in radio technology
- Develop strategies for improving the overall performance of our radio systems

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of radio frequency principles, networking, and transmission techniques
- Experience with troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions
- Proficient in programming and configuring various types of radios (analog, digital, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if needed
