Florist for Boutique Floral Shop in Washington DC



We are seeking a talented and experienced Florist to join our boutique floral shop located in the bustling city of Washington DC. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and unique floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, corporate events, and everyday celebrations. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Design and create floral arrangements based on client preferences and event themes
- Source and select high-quality flowers, plants, and accessories from local suppliers
- Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality
- Provide exceptional customer service by consulting with clients to understand their needs and offering creative suggestions
- Manage orders, deliveries, and set-up for events as needed
- Keep up-to-date with current trends, techniques, and styles in the floral industry

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a florist in a retail or event setting
- Excellent design skills with an eye for detail and creativity
- Strong knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and their care requirements
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
- Proficient in English (additional languages are a plus)

Preferences:
