Head Pastry Chef

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department in our upscale restaurant located in Jizan. Your main duty will be to create and execute dessert menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. You will also be in charge of supervising and training a team of pastry chefs and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and create innovative desserts that complement our restaurant's cuisine
- Develop new recipes while also maintaining signature dishes
- Oversee the production and plating of all desserts
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry chefs
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed
- Collaborate with other departments to create special menus for events or promotions
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss menu changes, new techniques, or any issues
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu development

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and tools
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail when it comes to presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

This position is located in Jizan.
