Preservation Architect
We are in need of a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Randers, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and monuments. This role requires knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques, as well as strong project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on the historical significance and condition of buildings and monuments
- Developing preservation plans and strategies for restoration projects
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of historic buildings
- Selecting appropriate materials and techniques for restoration projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Overseeing construction work to ensure adherence to preservation plans
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Preparing reports on project status and budget updates for clients or stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or a related field
- Knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various professionals involved in restoration projects
- Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve on-site
- Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and preservation guidelines
- Experience with AutoCAD or other design software is preferred
- Fluency in Danish is preferred but not required
Salary: 1300$ per month
Location: Randers, Denmark
