Librarian

The city library of Kaunas is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, assisting library patrons with research and reference questions, and overseeing library programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and digital resources
- Assist library patrons with research and reference questions
- Plan and implement engaging programs and events for all ages
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, circulation statistics, and patron interactions
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in librarianship and implement new technologies as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Fluent in English (additional languages preferred)
- Knowledge of Egyptian culture is a plus
- Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
