Indian Pastry Chef in Jerusalem

We are seeking a skilled Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries and desserts that will delight our customers. Your role will involve planning and executing pastry menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.

To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for pastry-making and be knowledgeable about traditional Indian desserts and flavors. You should also have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to work well under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be collaborating with other chefs and communicating with front-of-house staff.

Responsibilities:
- Develop creative pastry menus that incorporate traditional Indian flavors
- Prepare, cook, and present pastries according to recipes and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and equipment, and place orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations at all times
- Train junior chefs on proper pastry-making techniques
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus that complement the main dishes
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding menu changes or special requests

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and flavors
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
