Sous Chef - Mauren, Africa
We are seeking an experienced and creative Sous Chef to join our team in Mauren, Africa. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for supervising the kitchen staff and ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menu items and ensure that all dishes are executed according to our standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed at all times
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Food safety certification is preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 900$ per month, based on experience.
