Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our company in Washington. This individual will be expected to have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry. They must also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Solid knowledge of GAAP principles
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Salary: $1000 per month
