Preservation Architect for Historic Restoration Projects in Los Angeles



Are you a skilled Preservation Architect looking for an exciting opportunity to work on historic restoration projects in the vibrant city of Los Angeles? Our preservation firm is seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team.

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in historic preservation and architecture to restore and preserve iconic buildings and structures in Los Angeles. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting all preservation standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary restoration work
- Develop detailed plans and designs for restoration projects, including material selection, structural changes, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure compliance with local building codes and preservation guidelines
- Oversee construction activities to ensure that restoration work is performed according to plans and specifications
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients
- Conduct site visits and inspections during all phases of restoration projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, preservation guidelines, and construction methods
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members from various disciplines

We offer a competitive salary of $900 per week for this contract position. This role is open to all nationalities; however, proficiency in English is preferred. Please note that this is a contract position without accommodation provided.
