Interpreter for English-Indian Communication


We are in need of an Interpreter who can facilitate communication between English and Indian speakers in Balzers. This is a part-time position, perfect for someone looking to gain experience in interpretation without any prior experience required. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for interpreting verbal conversations and written documents accurately and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in bridging the communication gap between English-speaking clients and Indian-speaking staff members. Your main duty will be to ensure that all parties involved fully understand each other's messages to avoid any misunderstandings or conflicts.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent language skills, including fluency in both English and Indian languages. You should also possess sharp listening skills, strong cultural sensitivity, and the ability to remain impartial while interpreting. Previous experience in interpretation or translation is preferred but not required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing accurate and efficient interpretation services during meetings, conferences, phone calls, or any other forms of communication between English and Indian speakers.
- Translating written documents such as emails, reports, or contracts from one language to the other with precision.
- Ensuring that all parties understand each other's messages by clarifying any cultural or linguistic differences that may arise during communication.
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times when dealing with sensitive information.
- Adhering to professional standards of ethics and conduct while representing our company.
- Remaining up-to-date with industry terminology and trends related to both languages.

Requirements:

- Fluency in both English and Indian languages (Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, etc).
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to remember details accurately.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Ability to remain impartial while interpreting.
- Availability for part-time work, including weekends and evenings.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in interpretation or translation is preferred but not required.
- Degree or certification in interpretation, translation, or a related field is a plus.
