Seasonal Restaurant Manager in Funchal, Madeira
As a seasonal Restaurant Manager in Funchal, Madeira, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations and staff at our restaurant during the peak tourist season. You must have previous experience as a restaurant manager and be able to handle a fast-paced environment. As this is a seasonal job, we are looking for someone who can commit to working from June to September. You must also have the ability to work well under pressure and maintain excellent customer service at all times. Accommodation will not be provided, so we are seeking candidates who already have housing arrangements in place. Visa sponsorship is available for non-EU citizens.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Hire, train, and supervise staff
- Create and maintain schedules for employees
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Handle customer complaints and ensure high level of customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service
- Monitor financial performance of the restaurant and make necessary adjustments to meet budget goals
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a restaurant manager
- Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality management preferred
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and mentor staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Salary: $1400/month
