Part-Time Librarian in Bergen
We are seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team at our library in Bergen. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the library, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, organizing and maintaining the library's collection, and providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This position is suitable for men who are looking for a part-time job without previous experience. We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month and provide free visa and ticket for international candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the library, including opening and closing procedures
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, offering guidance on finding resources
- Organize and maintain the library's collection, including shelving books and materials
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
- Develop engaging displays and programs to promote reading and literacy
- Process new materials, including cataloging, labeling, and shelving
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy of records
- Assist with budget planning and purchasing new materials as needed
- Stay up-to-date on new technology trends in libraries to improve services
Requirements:
- Passion for books, knowledge, and promoting literacy in the community
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to assist patrons with varying needs
- Basic computer skills for data entry and using library software systems
- Flexibility in working evenings or weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
