Preservation Architect
Join our team as a Preservation Architect in Balzers, where you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. As a part of our team, you will work closely with clients, contractors, and other architects to develop plans and strategies for preserving the cultural heritage of the city. Your role will involve conducting research, creating preservation plans, overseeing construction and restoration projects, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a passion for history and architecture, who possess strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historic buildings and structures to understand their significance and identify preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans that meet the requirements of clients and comply with local regulations
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other architects to implement preservation plans
- Oversee construction projects to ensure they are carried out in accordance with preservation standards
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Prepare reports on project progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement
- Advise clients on maintaining the integrity of historic buildings through proper maintenance practices
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, new technologies, materials, and techniques related to preservation architecture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation (preferred)
- Proven experience in preserving historic buildings or structures (desirable)
- Strong understanding of architectural theory, principles, methods, materials, and techniques specific to historic preservation
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to create detailed preservation plans using computer software such as AutoCAD or Revit (preferred)
- Good communication skills for collaborating with team members from different backgrounds
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary: 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time contract (6 months with possibility of extension)
Location: Balzers, Liechtenstein

Language Requirements: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
