Job Title: Preservation Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in the beautiful city of Porto. As a Preservation Architect, your main responsibility will be to preserve and protect historic buildings and structures for future generations to enjoy.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their condition and any necessary repairs or restoration work.
- Develop detailed preservation plans that incorporate historical accuracy, safety regulations, and environmental sustainability.
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure preservation projects are executed effectively.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure preservation plans are being followed accurately.
- Conduct research on historical architecture and materials to inform preservation projects.
- Ensure all preservation work is in compliance with local and national regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural conservation or historic preservation.
- Extensive knowledge of historical architecture and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with local authorities on historic preservation projects is preferred.
This position offers a competitive salary of 1700$ per month.
