Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team in Herning, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing pastry menus, developing new dessert recipes, and managing all aspects of the pastry department. You will also be responsible for training and supervising junior pastry chefs.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute innovative and high-quality pastry menus
- Develop new dessert recipes that align with our brand and concept
- Prepare and present pastries according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry department, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and controlling costs
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of different types of pastries, baking techniques, and flavor combinations
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dessert ideas that align with our brand concept
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate junior staff members
Salary: 1200$ per month
