Executive Chef - Faro, Portugal
We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team in Faro, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement menu concepts that align with our restaurant's vision and concept
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including ordering ingredients, recipe development, and plating techniques
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food production and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain inventory levels and control food costs through effective menu planning and portion control
- Collaborate with management on budget planning, cost analysis, and menu pricing
- Stay current with industry trends and implement new techniques or ingredients into the menu when appropriate
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development for kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a large team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of current culinary trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Salary:
Competitive salary of 1600$ per month.
