Indian Executive Chef in Mombasa
We are in search of an experienced and skilled Indian Executive Chef to join our team in Mombasa. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant, ensuring the highest quality of food and service is provided to our guests. You will also be responsible for creating innovative menus and managing kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Must be a proficient English speaker
- Must hold a valid biometric passport
- Minimum 12th pass education
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine is essential
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase traditional Indian cuisine while also incorporating modern techniques and trends.
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other employees.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; place orders as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing proper hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions related to food offerings.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques; implement them into menu development.
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month. Accommodation will be provided along with other benefits.
