Florist Assistant


We are a boutique flower shop located in the beautiful city of Faroe Islands. We are seeking a passionate and creative Florist Assistant to join our team and assist in creating stunning floral arrangements for our clients. As a Florist Assistant, you will work closely with our head florist to design and arrange various floral displays for weddings, events, and everyday occasions. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. Salary starts at $900 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in creating and arranging floral displays according to client requests
- Maintaining inventory of flowers, plants, and supplies
- Communicating with clients to discuss their floral needs and preferences
- Providing exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and handling complaints
- Ensuring all work areas are clean and organized at all times
- Participating in promotional events and workshops as needed
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and techniques

Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a florist or florist assistant (certification is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and their care requirements
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (flower arrangements)
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in event or wedding floral design
- Knowledge of basic design principles such as color theory, balance, etc.
- Multi-tasking abilities with strong organizational skills
