Land Surveyor
We are hiring a Land Surveyor to join our team in Nairobi. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys, collecting data, and analyzing survey results. You will also be required to prepare detailed reports and maps of surveyed areas, and ensure that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Professional certification or degree in Land Surveying
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in land surveying
- Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and software
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret land records, maps, and legal documents
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Fluent in English (Malayalees or Canadians are preferred)
- Must have a valid visa for working in Nairobi
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using various methods such as GPS, total stations, and aerial photography
- Collect data on site conditions, terrain features, boundaries, and other relevant information
- Analyze survey data using specialized software to create accurate maps and reports
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to determine project requirements
- Prepare legal descriptions of surveyed areas for use in property deeds or leases
- Ensure compliance with all surveying standards and regulations
- Maintain survey equipment by performing routine maintenance and repairs
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress
- Assist with training junior surveyors as needed
