Formwork Carpenter



As a Formwork Carpenter, you will play a vital role in the construction process by creating temporary structures to support concrete during the building process. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and plans, measuring and cutting materials, assembling formwork structures, and ensuring they are properly secured and aligned. Additionally, you will also be required to remove formwork after the concrete has set and make any necessary repairs or adjustments.

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience as a carpenter or formworker, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials. Attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to work in a team are also essential qualities for this position. A valid work visa is required for non-Canadian applicants.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications
- Assemble formwork structures using various tools
- Ensure formwork is properly secured and aligned
- Remove formwork after concrete has set
- Make necessary repairs or adjustments to formwork
- Communicate with team members to ensure project timeline is met
- Follow all safety protocols on site

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a carpenter or formworker
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and plans accurately
- Physical strength for carrying heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Valid work visa (if not Canadian)
