Job Title: Back-End Developer


We are hiring a skilled Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team in Svalbard, Norway. As a Back-End Developer, you will work closely with our front-end developers and project managers to create efficient and user-friendly web applications. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the applications, and collaborating with the rest of the team to design and implement new features.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop server-side logic for web applications
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Design and implement efficient data storage solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by users or team members
- Ensure security of all web applications by implementing appropriate security measures
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or PHP
- Experience working with database systems such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Good understanding of web development principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Skills:
Our ideal candidate would also possess the following skills:
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies
- Understanding of Agile development processes
