Head Pastry Chef
Location: Oslo, Norway
As the Head Pastry Chef at our high-end bakery in Oslo, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department. You will lead a team of talented pastry chefs and bakers, ensuring that our pastries are consistently of the highest quality. Your creative flair and attention to detail will be crucial in developing new and innovative pastry recipes.
Your main duties will include managing inventory and ordering supplies, creating and costing menus, training and supervising staff, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring that all pastries are made to perfection. You will also collaborate with our head chef to create balanced menus and maintain consistency in quality and presentation.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in pastry arts or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of experience working in a high-end bakery or restaurant. You must have strong leadership skills and be able to effectively manage a team. Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for creating delicious pastries are essential for success in this role.
In addition, you must have excellent time management skills and be able to work efficiently under pressure. A good understanding of food costs and inventory management is also required. As our bakery is known for its high-quality products, you must have a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
