Pastry Chef


We are in need of an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Oslo. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts for our customers. You will also be responsible for overseeing the pastry kitchen, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring quality control.

Responsibilities:
- Create a variety of pastries and desserts, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and other baked goods
- Develop new recipes and menu items based on customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry kitchen including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Ensure high quality standards are met and maintained at all times
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Collaborate with other departments to create cohesive menus for events and special occasions
- Implement safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with health codes

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastries, baking techniques, and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to train and manage a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creativity in developing new recipes while also adhering to traditional techniques
- Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus)

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1800$ per month. Salary can be negotiable based on experience.

Location:
This position is located in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. While Norwegian nationality is preferred, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who meet the requirements.
