Smelter Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Smelter Operator to join our team in Pula. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining smelting equipment to produce high-quality molten metal. This is a contract job with accommodation provided, suitable for men who are physically fit and able to work in a hot and physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment such as furnaces, converters, and electrolytic cells
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates of molten metal
- Ensure proper mixing of alloys and additives according to specified ratios
- Inspect equipment for any malfunctions or defects and report any issues to the supervisor
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Keep accurate records of production data, including material usage and quality control results

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Smelter Operator or similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of smelting processes and equipment operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work in a hot, noisy, and physically demanding environment
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English
