Land Surveyor
We are in need of a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in Atlanta. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and creating maps and reports for construction, engineering, and land development projects. Your main duties will include using surveying instruments to measure and record data, analyzing data to create accurate maps and reports, and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field
- 3+ years of experience in land surveying
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as GPS receivers, total stations, and digital levels
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other mapping software
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys using various equipment to measure distances, angles, elevations, boundaries, and topographical features
- Analyze collected data to create accurate maps and reports for project planning purposes
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accuracy of survey results
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards while conducting surveys
- Collaborate with team members on projects as needed
