Metal Worker - Contract Position (Alta, Canada)



We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our team on a contract basis in Alta, Canada. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and repairing metal structures using various tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine project specifications
- Cut, shape and join metal parts using hand tools, welding equipment or other machines
- Measure and mark cutting lines on metal using various measuring devices
- Use specialized software to design and create custom metal pieces
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or materials
- Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Metal Worker
- Strong knowledge of different types of metals and how to work with them
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to operate welding equipment, saws, grinders, drills, etc.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Good communication skills
