Pastry Chef
Our busy and renowned bakery in La-Condamine is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong understanding of various pastry techniques. They must also have excellent time-management skills, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have an eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare high-quality pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to recipes or instructions
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Ensure all food safety standards are met during the preparation and cooking process
- Train junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menu items or improve existing ones
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new pastry techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, flavor profiles, and food safety standards
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Strong leadership skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Fluent in English (French is a plus)
Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: La-Condamine, Monaco (open to candidates of any nationality)
