Contract Librarian


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Librarian to join our team in Herning, Denmark. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. This is a contract position, meaning that it is temporary and does not include benefits or accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Catalogue new materials into the library's system
- Assist patrons with finding and checking out books and other materials
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the library shelves
- Manage library inventory and order new materials when needed
- Create displays and promotional materials for library events and programs
- Provide basic reference assistance to patrons
- Keep track of overdue items and enforce library policies as needed
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programming for all ages

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred but not required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in computer systems used for cataloguing and managing library collections

The salary for this contract position is 1000$ per month.
