Head Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Vejle, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining a high standard of quality and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a creative flair for developing new and innovative dishes, as well as strong leadership skills to manage and motivate our kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and plan menus that are both creative and appealing to our clientele
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks
- Ensure that all food safety standards are met and maintained in the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef in a similar establishment
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dishes while also maintaining classic favorites on the menu
- Current food handling certificate or equivalent training/certification preferred
- Must be fluent in English (Danish language skills considered an asset)
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.
