Senior Accountant - Svalbard



We are currently hiring a Senior Accountant to join our team in Svalbard. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced accountant with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations
- Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and make recommendations for efficiency

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, SAP)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English (Norwegian is a plus)

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1100 per month for this position.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. Relocation assistance is not provided.
