Team Lead for Women's Empowerment Program in Faro, Portugal
We are hiring a driven and passionate Team Lead to oversee our Women's Empowerment Program in Faro, Portugal. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated professionals and volunteers to support and empower women in the local community. Your main duties will include coordinating program activities, conducting outreach efforts, and providing mentorship and guidance to program participants.
To excel in this role, you should have previous experience working with marginalized communities and a strong understanding of gender equality issues. You must also possess excellent leadership skills and be able to effectively manage a team while working towards common goals. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, adaptable, and has a passion for creating positive change in the lives of women.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of the Women's Empowerment Program including planning, implementing, and evaluating program activities
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to assist with program delivery
- Conduct outreach efforts to engage women in the local community and promote program participation
- Provide mentorship and guidance to program participants through one-on-one sessions or group workshops
- Collaborate with other organizations and community partners to enhance program impact
- Monitor program progress and report on outcomes to stakeholders
- Manage program budget and ensure efficient use of resources
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, gender studies or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with marginalized communities or in the field of gender equality
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English (Portuguese proficiency is an asset)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse teams
- Passion for promoting women's rights and creating positive social change
