Carpenter for Residential Construction - Faro, Portugal


We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our residential construction team in Faro, Portugal. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. You will work closely with our project managers and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut and shape wood materials according to precise measurements and specifications
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and siding
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Repair or replace damaged or rotting wood components
- Inspect materials for defects or imperfections
- Safely operate power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential construction (minimum 2 years)
- Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) and work in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, etc.
- Good communication skills (in English or Portuguese)
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship

Salary & Benefits:
