Web Designer


We are hiring a talented and creative Web Designer to join our team in Svalbard. As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites that meet our clients' needs and brand standards.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing website layouts, graphics, and user interfaces
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine client needs and project requirements
- Ensuring all designs are responsive, accessible, and optimized for different devices
- Conducting user research to understand target audience and incorporate feedback into designs
- Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to present design concepts to clients
- Incorporating branding elements into designs to maintain consistency across all platforms
- Staying updated with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Web Designer or similar role
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong portfolio showcasing web design projects
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Experience with responsive design principles
- Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SEO principles
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles

Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Contract job: This is a contract position for an initial period of 6 months, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Jobs for students: This position is open to students who have relevant experience or training in web design. Part-time hours may be available during the school year.
