Indian Pastry Chef in Salalah
A luxury hotel in Salalah is seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to the menu and guest requests
- Develop new recipes that incorporate local ingredients and reflect current food trends
- Ensure all pastry products are prepared, stored, and presented in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain inventory of pastry supplies and equipment, ordering as needed
- Train and supervise junior pastry cooks on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus for special events or themed dinners
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Advanced knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, flavor combinations, and presentation styles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
Salary: 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
